About the Club

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner looking for an opportunity to apply your left-arm off-breaks on German turf, or simply curious to learn the difference between third man and silly point, Cologne International CC is the right place for you. We offer opportunities for players of all standards, with established men’s, women’s and youth squads. The men’s team plays in the Westdeutsche Regionalliga, with regular fixtures in Cologne, Bonn and Düsseldorf, whereas the women’s team plays in the DCB Kajnok-Bundesliga, with matches all over Germany. We are also helping to establish a youth cricket league in the region for the U15/U17 age group, with new, regular coaching sessions now offered. Currently, six of our female players are also part of the national team, and several of our U19 youth players have been selected for the regional squad. We have one Umpire at Level 1a, as well as 3 Umpires qualified to Level 1. Several members hold basic coaching qualifications at various levels.

Apart from participation in various forms of competitive cricket, we also strive to live up to our name, with a membership that comprises many cultures and nationalities, promoting mutual understanding within a team and respect for opponents alike, an ethic which we carry with us on our numerous tours within Germany and abroad. CICC is a regular participant at local promotional events with the aim of making cricket more widely known to the public. This has recently included demonstrations at the Köln KinderSportFest in Müngersdorf, Bayer Sports day in Leverkusen, hosting matches during the Indian Business Week.  Most recently, we have also been contributing to the local integration efforts in Cologne and surroundings, with a number of refugees joining our ranks as fully active, enthusiastic members.
